El pasado 16 de diciembre el grupo chasis del equipo FSBizkaia acudió a la empresa Fibertecnic.

La principal razón por la que se decidió organizar una la salida a la empresa Fibertecnic fue porque ésta se dedica a la fabricación de piezas para aviación y utilizan materiales que son semejantes a los que va a llevar el monocasco del FSB2015.

En un principio, el grupo chasis se reunió con 4 ingenieros que tenían un amplio conocimiento en el área de materiales compuestos y, tras mostrar el diseño del monocasco y la idea que se tenía para la fabricación del mismo, dichos ingenieros nos dieron sus opiniones y varias alternativas para, sobre todo, simplificar la fabricación del monocasco. De aquí se sacaron varias ideas que se tendrán que valorar, para después escoger la más viable.

Tras esto, se realizó una visita guiada por la planta, que sirvió de gran ayuda para poder comprender de una manera más clara y concisa los aspectos tratados en la reunión.

Queríamos agradecer a Fibertecnic  su colaboración y la ayuda prestada al equipo FSB, así como el buen trato recibido durante la visita.

On December 16 the chassis group of Formula Student Bizkaia visited Fibertecnic.

We looked for their assistance due to the fact that they manufacture aviation components and use similar materials to those of the FSB2015´s monocoque.

Initially, the chassis group had a meeting with four engineers who have broad knowledge of composite materials and, after showing them the design of the monocoque and the manufacturing plan, they gave us their opinions and alternatives to simplify the manufacturing process. With all the valuable information we gathered, the best choice for monocoque manufacture will be chosen.

After that, we were invited to a tour through the factory, which was really helpful in order to understand and clarify the discussed issues.
