El sábado 22 de Noviembre, el equipo Formula Student Bizkaia realizó la primera salida con los nuevos miembros del equipo. Esta salida tuvo lugar en el BEC (Bilbao Exhibition Center), en una de las vías de acceso a sus instalaciones.

El primer grupo en realizar sus pruebas fue el grupo I+D. Estos, tras realizar las comprobaciones pertinentes por parte del grupo Control y Telemetría  procedieron realizar sus pruebas de control automático. Estas pruebas consistieron en una serie de aceleraciones con diferentes modos: con potencias diferentes, sistemas de aceleración automática…

El siguiente turno fue el del grupo  de Suspensión y Dirección. Este grupo realizó un cambio de muelles traseros.

El grupo Corners también realizó diferentes pruebas con el coche, siendo algunas de ellas la  toma de las temperaturas de los frenos y las pruebas de refrigeración de discos con toberas.

Tras realizar las diferentes pruebas solicitadas por los grupos y resolver algunos problemas que surgieron con el coche, obtuvimos datos muy importantes de cara a mejorar nuestros diseños.

On Saturday, November 22, the Formula Student Bizkaia team carried out the first car tests of the season with the presence of the new members. They took place in the installatios of Bilbao Exhibition Center (BEC).

The first tests were carried out by the R&D group. They tested the new slip control algorithms and the automated speed control system after the Control & Telemetry group had checked the car.

Afterwards Suspension & Steering group had the chance of changing the rear springs and test the performance and effect of the springs in vehicle dynamics.

Corners group had also the opportunity of performing different tests, being the most important the measurement of the brakes’ temperature using the newly developed cooling nozzles

After all the needed tests were made and some problems were solved, we obtained really important data for the improvement and validation of our designs.
